Resilient Bhutan through sustaining its power sector

workplace safety

Ensuring Bhutan's Future

Employee wellbeing is always at the forefront. In this pursuit, we ensure we follow safety protocols at all times. A “Mental Well-Being” guideline is also in place to help employees manage work-related stress and provide coping mechanisms.

Further, as part of the Women in Power Sector Professional Network (WePOWER), we have dedicated employee counsellors who sensitise on workplace and sexual harassment, and promote a safe working environment.

DGPC conducts various outreach programs thoughout the year to create awareness on business operations and career opportunities, and promote normative change regarding women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at schools.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring business continuity has taken limelight. Thus, a Standard Operating Procedure for Business Continuity Plan has been in place to provide continuous emergency O&M teams. DGPC has also developed a “Work from Home” guideline to ensure no disruption to business under the new norm of working remotely and ensuring employee safety.
